Dragomirna

The church of this monastery was the tallest of  all  churches in Moldavia. For instance, is twice as tall as  Moldovita Monastery.

It was built in 1609 by metropolitan Anastasie Crimca and  here appeared for the first time decorative style in carved stone, style later used to the famous Church of the Three Hierarchs in Iasi (1639).

The museum of the monastery includes an important  unique  collection of gilded books.
